Fisetin
Fisetin (senolytic flavonoid)
A plant flavonoid and leading natural senolytic that clears senescent cells in animal studies and is now in human frailty trials.
Overview
Fisetin is a flavonoid found in strawberries and other plants that acts as a senolytic, selectively clearing senescent 'zombie' cells that accumulate with age. Animal results have been striking, extending healthspan in mice, and it is now in human clinical trials for frailty and inflammation in older adults. It is a supplement; despite the excitement, it is not yet a proven human longevity treatment.
Mechanism of action
Selectively triggers death of senescent cells, reducing the inflammatory signals they release.

Frequently asked questions
Is fisetin a proven anti-aging supplement?
No. The animal senolytic data are strong and human trials are underway, but it is not yet proven to slow aging in people.
